Even though we try to plan our lives, sometimes we get thrown a curve ball that sends us into a tail spin. How one chooses to deal with these unexpected challenges often determines the events that follow.
I was tossed out of my orbit by divorce, unexpected and out of the blue after 25 years of marriage. At that point, I had a choice;I could be angry and bitter, playing the role of victim or choose to embrace the event as an opportunity for growth. I chose the latter; I chose to embrace my life as it was presented to me, and take it to the next level. It hasn't always been an easy path.
In this blog, it is my intention to show others that are struggling, that how one lives their life is a choice and to illustrate that obstacles truly are opportunities.....if one chooses them to be. One must work for those opportunities, though, and at times, it can be very difficult.
You will see this in my blog;it is, at times, emotionally raw and vulnerable, but it is an honest portrayal of my triumphs and trials as I made a new life.
For me, my bicycling is a symbol of that choice and the richness that the world has to offer…. if one chooses……
